Dulce’s Journey: Achieving College Success and a Career in Healthcare

Dulce

For Dulce, earning a college degree is not just a personal accomplishment, but also the beginning of a career rooted in care, compassion, and impact.

A recent graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College with a degree in radiologic technology, Dulce is now working in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital, widely known as one of the nation’s leading heart hospitals. “The work they do is absolutely amazing,” she says. “I’m so proud to be a part of such an incredible team.”

But the journey to get there was not easy.

“Life itself has so many challenges and obstacles that can make things difficult,” Dulce reflects. “There were moments where I felt unsure of what was ahead. But I’ve been lucky to have great friends, family, and mentors who helped me along the way—and College Possible was a huge part of that.”

Dulce joined College Possible as a student at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, where she met her coach, Ben Dubielak. His presence, she says, made all the difference.

“Coach Ben was a true blessing,” Dulce says. “He helped guide me through every step, from college applications to financial aid and everything in between. Students often feel lost in that process, but because of him, I never felt alone.”

With that foundation of support, Dulce built a purpose-driven future. Now she is focused on growing in her field and achieving her career goals. “I can’t wait to keep learning and improving. My goal is to be successful in my career and financially stable so I can give back and support others, just like I was supported.”

To incoming College Possible students, she offers the following advice: “Take advantage of the amazing coaches and resources. You may not realize it now, but their support is life-changing. And remember: your everyday life is someone else’s dream. Don’t take it for granted.”

With gratitude for the past and confidence in what lies ahead, Dulce is ready to live out what she deems as her life’s purpose: to care for others the way so many once cared for her.
