Last month, nine graduating high school seniors in College Possible received scholarships from The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands Scholarship Program to use toward college.
The mission of the program is to inspire and support the young men and women of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands through post-secondary education, internships, and mentoring.
“Community partnerships such as working alongside College Possible continue to be very important. We share many of the same students and there can never be enough support for the young people in our communities,” said Jermaine C. Jones, Vice President Community and Scholarship Outreach at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands.
In total, 53 students from Omaha received more than $330,000 in scholarships for the 2020-21 school year.
“The Boys & Girls Clubs appreciates the partnership with College Possible and will continue working with CP in providing college and career programming for high school students, as well as supporting students actively pursuing post-secondary opportunities.”
