Five Students on Where They're Headed This Fall

College Decision Day, celebrated on May 1, is one of our favorite days of the year.

After years of hard work and countless college applications, College Possible Washington students have officially committed to their futures. This year’s students are headed to study everything from aerospace engineering at UW to nursing at PLU, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We asked five students about where they are headed this fall. Keep reading to hear in their own words why they chose their school and what they can’t wait to experience next.

I committed to PLU because the campus is beautiful and it’s very close to home.

What are you most excited about?

What I’m most excited for is starting the nursing program and making a bunch of new friends.

I committed to UW because they offer aerospace and aeronautical engineering.

What are you most excited about?

I’m excited to meet new people and explore Seattle in my free time.

I committed to WSU because of a generous financial aid package and being named one of their distinguished regent scholars of 2026.

What are you most excited about?

I’m looking forward to narrowing my studies to one field and graduating with no debt.

I committed to George Fox because of their football program and faith.

What are you most excited about?

I’m most excited about getting my bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and connecting with new people.

I committed to PLU because I liked their nursing program. I thought it was very organized and in-depth. Their financial aid package was also very helpful.

What are you most excited about?

I’m excited to go to PLU because I want to learn more about science and everything that will go into nursing.
