Carol Rubin is Jenner & Block’s chief operating officer, providing strategic direction, financial planning and analysis, and operations management for all firm offices. Her career has focused on leading and revitalizing government and nonprofit organizations. Past leadership roles include Associate Director of Schools of the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), the second largest public transit agency in the U.S., as well as CAO of the Chicago Park District, the largest municipal park system in the country. In addition, she served as head of Corporate Strategy for Exelon Corporation, a major electric utility, and as the director of the Child Care Facilities Development Program of the Illinois Facilities Fund, a national nonprofit agency.
Carol holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and French Literature, Phi Beta Kappa, from Colgate University.
