Michael is Senior Vice President and Senior Managing Director of a Wealth Management Advisory team that provides meaningful and holistic advice for ultra-high net worth families across the country. Immediately prior to his current role, Michael was a Banking Director for this same team. Michael joined Northern Trust in 2010 and has over 30 years of experience serving closely held businesses and high net worth individuals including business owners, entrepreneurs and c-suite executives. In prior roles, he led several organizations to grow and prosper, including a de-novo bank.

Michael proactively leads a team of seasoned professionals, who serve ultra-high net worth families and businesses with comprehensive wealth management services incorporating investment management, banking, fiduciary and wealth consulting solutions and a goals-based framework. Michael is responsible for growth of the business, deepening client relationships and providing a top tier client experience.

Michael graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. degree in Economics and he earned an MBA degree from The Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Michael holds a Certified Private Wealth Advisor© designation, obtained through the Investments and Wealth Institute™ and administered by University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business.

Michael is a Board member of Camp For All Kids, a non-profit organization that provides two life changing summer camp experiences with the goal of improving diversity, equity and inclusion among all stakeholders. CFAK provides four week “camperships” to deserving kids from under-resourced communities in Chicago, Cleveland and St. Louis. As part of a year-round mentorship experience, Four Star Fellowship is a one-week program that seeks to empower Chicago teens to realize and embrace their full potential by using the transformative and nurturing summer camp experience to help build confidence, relationships, and cross-cultural understanding.

Michael is happily married to Linda and they have two college aged children (Wisconsin and Rice). He is a sports fan who played ice hockey for many years. Michael loves to travel with his family, play golf and to entertain family, friends and clients.
