Dr. Cheryl Moore is the Executive Director of the Career Studio where she leads efforts to prepare students for competitive and innovative futures. She assumed the role on September 1, 2021. Cheryl has more than 15 years of higher education experience, coming to Alverno from Cardinal Stritch University. Here, she served as an assistant professor and chair of the undergraduate business program. She has spent many years as a practitioner as well. She previously owned a human resources consulting firm that provided training, executive talent acquisition and career development strategies, helped organizations implement human resource processes and diversity strategies, and consulted with business leaders. She has been afforded the opportunity to travel and teach abroad during her studies and in her profession. She is deemed a Gandhian Scholar after completion of a Gandhi pilgrimage in India. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C., a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management, and Ph.D. in Organization and Management with a specialization in Leadership from Capella University.
Dr. Cheryl Moore has high-energy with a passion for enhancing student success with an innovative approach in learning by doing. Her focus in her role at Alverno College is to “future proof” Alverno students with digital readiness, and relational engagement.
She is a native of South Carolina; residing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband of almost 29 years; they have 2 adult sons.
