BG Tucker is the Executive Director of College Possible Minnesota, a role she began after serving as the senior director of program operations.
Originally from Virginia, BG earned a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American studies from Carleton College and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Organizational Leadership, Policy and Development from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Her career in education began with Teach for America, where she taught Spanish to students from kindergarten through eighth grade in Gary, Indiana. She became a founding college counselor at KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate in Massachusetts and eventually served as its director of college counseling. After relocating to London to provide U.S. admissions counseling abroad, BG returned to Minnesota in 2018. Before joining College Possible, she was the director of college and career counseling at Venture Academy in Minneapolis.
As executive director, BG is dedicated to enhancing access to higher education. She focuses on creating inclusive and supportive environments within College Possible and the broader educational landscape. She emphasizes the importance of purposeful interventions to support first-generation and BIPOC students and aims to dismantle systemic inequities in education.
