College Possible Oregon is thrilled to name Wieden + Kennedy as the presenting sponsor of Caps Off!, a community appreciation event. Wieden + Kennedy’s sponsorship honors the legacy of the late Julie Mancini, College Possible Oregon’s executive director from 2015-2020. A prominent, visionary leader in the Oregon nonprofit space, Julie also served as the first executive director of Caldera Arts, the arts and environmental immersion program founded by Dan Wieden.
“We are so proud to support the work College Possible is doing for students and the community—it’s inspiring and incredibly impactful. And to have the opportunity to honor Julie Mancini, whom we loved dearly, feels extra special. Do all the good you can—that’s what Julie would do,” says Rebecca Groff, chief marketing officer at Wieden + Kennedy.
This year, we are especially grateful for the ways that our community has shown up to champion College Possible and celebrate our 10th year serving students in Oregon. We are thrilled to gather with other supporters and friends on June 6 as we honor Julie’s legacy of bold, community-centered leadership and look toward the next ten years. “Julie and I started this event seven years ago to recognize our incredible community, students and partners who make this work possible,” says Emielle Nischik, executive director of College Possible Oregon. “Julie believed strongly in leading with gratitude, and Caps Off! continues to be an authentic way for us to share our message, uplift student voices and grow the College Possible family.”
