Teeing Up Futures: College Possible Oregon’s first annual golf benefit

On Monday, Sept. 12 College Possible Oregon was joined by 93 golfers at Stone Creek Golf Club for our first annual golf benefit that raised $62,000 in support of future college graduates from Oregon. We lucked out with wonderful weather and everyone had fun, no matter how their game was going that day. All in all, we were able to raise a significant amount for students in Oregon through event sponsorships, individual tickets, generous donations and in-kind gifts.

This event never could have happened without Thomas Bookman and Geneva Stegemoller, our event co-chairs. We are incredibly grateful for their time and leadership. Thanks also go to all the event committee members: Jon Loomis, Sarah Mathenia, Jeremy Snyder, and Sharon Wynde.

Please enjoy photos from the day:

Thank you to our event supporters, with special thanks to OnPoint Community Credit Union and Ken and Marta Thrasher for their lead sponsorships. Thanks to a generous challenge match that Ken and Marta Thrasher made at the event, all donations up to $5,000 are being matched! If you’d like to help us reach our goal, we only have $570 left go to meet the challenge. Please invest in our students’ futures today. If you’d prefer, you can also mail a check to College Possible at 532 SE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97214. Thank you for believing in our students and their futures.
