Like everything else amid a pandemic, College Possible Oregon’s Launch! celebration looked a little different this year. Typically we spend a Saturday in late May celebrating all of our high school seniors who are graduating and moving onto their next step: college.
This year, we transitioned to a completely virtual celebration in early June. It consisted of a week full of daily Zoom “events” including a game night, karaoke and a Price is Right game show. Our biggest success was the game night where students played bingo, online Pictionary and more!
“Everyone who was able to join us had a great time! It was fun to see participants interacting with fellow students from other high schools who they’ve never met before, making connections and truly enjoying the time together. The silver lining for the virtual format was the opportunity for students to join and just observe if they wanted to. Hopefully it was a way to include everyone in this celebration!”

Even though the end of the year has been turned upside down, we were still able to find a way to celebrate all that these high school students have accomplished so far and remind us all that we’re part of a strong College Possible community.
Thank you to our Launch! sponsors who maintained their support even though this year’s event looked different than it has in the past:
