Meet Lyndsey:
Since graduating from college in 2021, Lyndsey has transitioned from aspiring criminal justice professional to dedicated educational advocate. Her journey has led her to College Possible, where she now specializes in helping students navigate the newly revised FAFSA.
The latest FAFSA changes have introduced significant challenges, especially for students with undocumented parents. Lyndsey has seen firsthand how these updates complicate the application process, leaving many students stuck despite available workarounds. “The new FAFSA system has created hurdles for our students,” Lyndsey explains. “They often need additional guidance to overcome these obstacles.”
Lyndsey’s role as a FAFSA Specialist is driven by her commitment to student success and her desire to reconnect with those she once coached. “I enjoy seeing how much my students have grown and helping them through this complex process,” she says. Her advice to current College Possible students is to actively engage with all available college resources. “Take full advantage of events, clubs, and career services. These opportunities are crucial for your development.”
Lyndsey wants students to gain confidence in managing their financial aid and understand that seeking help is a strength, not a weakness.

Meet Megan:
A Ripon College graduate with a degree in psychology, College Possible FAFSA Specialist Megan is driven by a desire to help students overcome the hurdles of the FAFSA process. Her commitment to student success is rooted in her own experiences and a passion for education.
“I was inspired to become a FAFSA Specialist after seeing how frustrated and discouraged students were with the botched FAFSA rollout,” Megan explains. “Many were doing everything right but still hitting barriers. I wanted to help them navigate these extra challenges, as they already face enough obstacles.”
Megan views her students as “bosses of their own lives,” and she serves as both a resource and cheerleader. Her most rewarding moments come from witnessing students finally overcome FAFSA hurdles, often after weeks of struggle. “Seeing the relief and excitement when students submit their FAFSA is incredibly fulfilling,” she says.
Megan advises current College Possible participants to manage their college debt wisely, utilize all available resources, and persist through challenges. Her goal is for students to learn self-advocacy and resilience, knowing that solutions are within reach.
