We are excited to welcome Lauren Kraushaar as the newest member of our leadership team. Take a minute to get to know more about Lauren and feel free to reach out if you have any questions. She’d love to get to know you!

Where did you go to college? SUNY Albany.
For those of us west coasters, that’s State University of New York, University at Albany.

What brought you to College Possible?
I was first introduced to College Possible during my term as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Although I was placed at a different nonprofit site, I remember hearing about the mission and being impressed by the reach and dedication to students. When I saw that there was an opportunity to join the team, I jumped at the chance.

Why are you committed to closing the degree divide?
Working with youth has given me great passion for equitable education and has opened my eyes to the huge gaps in our education system. All of our students have the talent they need to succeed in school and they deserve to have access to education, along with support and resources, to let their talent flourish.

What is your role at College Possible?
I am a program manager for our college access team. I work with coaches at Franklin High School and Nathan Hale High School in the Seattle Public Schools District.

What’s your favorite memory from college?
My favorite memory from college was going on a weeklong camping trip in Montreal over a long break.

What’s a little-known fact about you?
I’m obsessed with pumpkin bread!
