College Forward announced today the promotion of Austin Buchan to the role of executive director. Buchan’s responsibilities will expand to include operations across the breadth of College Forward’s mission and strategy. In this new role, Buchan will report to Lisa Fielder, Founder and CEO.
Buchan joined College Forward as a program manager in 2010, developing the organization’s collegiate mentoring services. He later spearheaded the development of CoPilot, a Salesforce-based student information system, as a social enterprise. As executive director, Buchan will continue to aggressively develop this and other revenue streams.
“Austin Buchan has contributed enormously to College Forward,” said CEO Lisa Fielder. “He’s entrepreneurial, he works hard and smart, and he’s an inspiring leader who can accomplish ‘six impossible things before breakfast.’ I’m excited to see him expand his role as the organization continues to grow and thrive.”
