In 2019 we launched the Getting to Graduation campaign with a goal of raising $1 million over three years to support more students getting to college graduation.
While we didn’t anticipate there being a global pandemic in the middle of this effort, it did not deter us, nor donors. We anticipate reaching our goal in the next few months and want to thank everyone who has helped us get here. These generous donors supported the campaign from the start with a commitment of $7,500 or more over three years. We’re so appreciative of their leadership, vision and trust.

This work was led by our board chair, Ken Thrasher, and volunteers from our investment council.
“Having grown up in a low-income family and seeing the barriers to post-secondary education for many of our students, I know this campaign’s funding will benefit hundreds of students by removing these barriers,” Ken said.
The priorities for investment with these dollars include:
- Developing and implementing culturally responsive coaching for college students to better address the unique struggles they face on their path to a degree.
- More face-to-face meetings with coaches to help students feel more connected on campus and ensure they are making use of the available support services.
- The addition of an Assistant Director of College Success who focuses on deepening our college partnerships to co-create student success initiatives to better support students on Oregon campuses.
These increased resources will enhance our support for college students and dramatically increase the graduation rate. Check out this brochure to learn more about the Getting to Graduation Campaign.
“A college education changes the lives of graduates, but more importantly, the Getting to Graduation campaign will have a ripple effect that will change the lives of families, future generations and our communities,” said Sona Karentz Andrews, College Possible board member.
