College Possible Oregon is proud to announce the receipt of a $250,000 grant from the Healy Foundation, a partner since 2014. This vital support comes at a critical time, as the organization navigates the unexpected loss of AmeriCorps funding—an impact felt widely across the nonprofit sector.

“We are so incredibly grateful to receive The Healy Foundation’s resiliency grant,” says Nicole Mays, interim executive director of College Possible Oregon. “Our top priority is always maintaining a student-centered approach for the nearly 2,000 Oregon students we serve. With The Healy Foundation’s support, we’ve been able to keep delivering on our commitment to the community when it matters most.”

Since its founding in 1995, The Healy Foundation has partnered with organizations focused on youth, the environment and communities across Oregon and Hawai’i. The foundation champions trust-based philanthropy, offering unrestricted funding to encourage grantees to lead with their expertise and determine how to best support their own communities.

“As we approach the final chapter of our work, we are proud to support organizations that help create a lasting impact in education,” says Suzanne Geary, executive director of The Healy Foundation. “College Possible has empowered thousands of Oregon students from first-generation backgrounds on their journeys to and through college. We are eager to see their impact continue to grow.”

The Healy Foundation plans to spend down its endowment and conclude operations by the end of 2029, leaving a legacy of transformational investments in resilient, community-centered organizations.
