Lindy Yeager is a community volunteer and former middle and high school teacher. She earned her B.A. from Harvard University in 1984. Soon after, she entered an apprentice teaching program at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge where she could also pursue a Master’s in Education degree at Tufts University. She taught at The Country School in Madison, CT and at the Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, NJ before moving to Shorewood in 1994 where she taught at the Shorewood Intermediate School.
While raising three children with her husband, John Florsheim, Lindy stepped away from teaching but stayed involved with youth and the community through volunteering in the Shorewood Schools and service on the board of COA Youth and Family Centers, including as Board Chair. Recently, she has been collaborating with the Carmen Schools of Science and Technology on teacher preparation and development.
She has closely followed College Possible since its arrival in the Milwaukee area and is thrilled to be joining the board to support its mission. She enjoys biking and running, reading, traveling, cooking and spending time with family.
