Katina Shaw is entering her 16th season with the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club as the Vice President of Community Relations and Family Liaison. Katina is the key liaison between the front office and the players, coaches, and their families. Katina performs various duties, including coordinating and managing community outreach opportunities for the ballclub through the Brewers monthly community volunteer outreach initiative, Beyond the Diamond, that she created. Katina executes speaker bureau requests, secures autographs from players for the ballclub’s business needs and in-kind donations in support of nonprofits fundraisers, secures and accompanies players for in-ballpark and outside the ballpark appearances. In addition, she coordinates activities and fundraising events for the Brewers Wives and Brewers alumni.
Before joining the Brewers, Katina spent 8+ years fundraising as the Market Manager for the Milwaukee Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. She coordinated the fundraising efforts for the Step Out Walk to Fight Diabetes in Milwaukee, Green Bay, and Racine.
In June 2019, Katina received The Business Journal Women of Influence Award and in February 2012, she received the Milwaukee Times Black Excellence Award, recognizing individuals making a positive difference in the community.
Katina lives in Milwaukee with her husband and their Old English Bulldog. They are proud parents of one son and two grandchildren.
She is an active volunteer in the community, a member of various committees, and serves on boards in the Milwaukee community such as Girls Scouts of Wisconsin Southeastern, Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, MENTOR Greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin Humane Society, and College Possible Milwaukee.
