Sarah McGraw Reichert is a Vice President of Philanthropy & Social Impact at BDT & Company, a merchant bank that provides advice and long-term capital through its affiliated investment funds to family- and founder-led businesses. In this role, Sarah designs and implements strategic initiatives on behalf of the firm to advance positive change in under-resourced and overlooked issue areas. She also supports the philanthropic pursuits of families in the BDT network by providing advice and guidance and fostering collaborative opportunities.
Prior to joining BDT, Sarah served as a Principal with BanyanGlobal, an advisory firm that specializes in governance and succession planning in family enterprises. While at Banyan, Sarah focused on next generation engagement, transition planning, and social impact strategy. Earlier in her career, Sarah was a Senior Philanthropy Advisor with J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s Philanthropy Centre, providing ultra-high net worth individuals and families with insights to help meet their impact goals.
Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she concentrated her studies in Entrepreneurship and Managerial and Organizational Behavior. While pursuing her MBA, Sarah served as a Venture Associate with Impact Engine, an impact investment fund focused on education, health, economic empowerment, and sustainability.
