As a first-generation college student, Kristine navigated her undergraduate years largely on her own, switching majors three times. Despite the challenges, these experiences were transformative, uncovering her passions and strengths. Aware of the barriers minority and first-generation students encounter in higher education, she’s committed to advocating for equity. Her mission is to mentor and empower the next generation, promoting reflection and nurturing personal growth and self-discovery throughout their college journey.
