Janell joins College Possible, having served with AmeriCorps as a college and career advisor in St. Louis, Missouri. She has experience working with students at the elementary school and high school levels. She attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she majored in educational studies and minored in psychology.
Janell serves as a College Access Program Manager. Her duties and responsibilities include supervising high school coaches by ensuring that coaches are supported in leading group sessions, meeting with their students, and logging data. She also oversees the financial aid and scholarship project and leads our celebrations team, which plans several events throughout the year for our entire College Possible Washington staff. A fun fact about Janell is that she was a College Possible student in high school! It was through College Possible that she could apply for colleges beyond what she could have considered for herself and eventually graduate from college debt-free. Outside of College Possible, Janell loves to sing and play guitar.
