Dr. Robin Beavers is a community engagement and outreach specialist dedicated to developing and managing programs that promote the wellness, equity, and inclusion of all people in our society. For over 20 years she has served as a higher education and career development professional; including 12 years at Self Enhancement, Inc.(SEI) as a post-high program manager, and four years at Portland State University as the Assistant Director for Diversity Recruitment & Outreach in the Office of Admissions. In recent years, she has moved into the world of philanthropy, hoping to inspire others to invest time and finances to help all communities thrive, including serving as the Development Director for SEI for two years, VP for Advancement & External Relations at Warner Pacific University, and currently serves as the VP of Philanthropy & DEI Initiatives at Trillium Family Services. Dr. Beavers is an adjunct professor who teaches MBA and organizational leadership graduate-level courses and holds a Business Management and Communication from Concordia University, a M.S. in Education, Policy, Foundation and Administration from Portland State University, and an Ed.D. in Education Leadership from Concordia University. Dr. Beavers was born and raised in Portland, OR, by her parents who have been married for over 60 years. She is the youngest of four children, has two adult sons and two young granddaughters.
