“The Support Is Endless”: Fulfillment Fund Uses CoPilot to Fuel Mission

In Los Angeles, where thousands of students face obstacles in their pursuit of higher education, is paving the way forward. The nonprofit works with local schools to help first-generation youth and students from low-income backgrounds attain college success through personalized programs and support services.

Since 2023, Fulfillment Fund has partnered with CoPilot — College Possible’s industry-leading student information system built on Salesforce that provides student support professionals with comprehensive insight into the academic, financial and social well-being of students.

Beginning in high school and continuing throughout college, Fulfillment Fund relies on CoPilot to maintain a detailed, streamlined record of student activity and information that can be used by counselors and advisors to better understand and anticipate students’ needs.

“There is a continuity of care, and both counselors and advisors — at any point in that student’s journey with our organization — can get insight into the student’s background and progress, so they can better guide them,” says Alex Mitchell, data consultant at Fulfillment Fund.

With CoPilot, Mitchell and his team can track one-on-one conversations with students, attendance records, participation in workshops and events, GPA history, financial aid details, and any other personalized information.

“You can modify the dashboard to track exactly what matters to you, and keep updating it as your needs change,” says Mitchell. “If a new semester brings new priorities, you can easily create a report, add it to the dashboard, and get real-time data on things like FAFSA submissions or college applications. It’s simple to pivot and stay aligned with your students’ needs.”

Despite launching at the start of a busy school year, the implementation process was seamless. Mitchell accredits this to Hannah Rockecharlie, the customer success manager, and the rest of the CoPilot team.

“They asked about our needs, explained what they could offer, and did a great job customizing CoPilot to fit our organization,” says Mitchell.

For the duration of the implementation process and beyond, CoPilot offered designated support hours, various resources, countless email exchanges and held both small and large-scale meetings on how to navigate the platform. Mitchell was impressed with the customer service and expertise. “The support really is just endless throughout — they’ve been wonderful.”

For all those involved on the CoPilot side, the admiration is mutual.
