Omaha Community Partner of the Month: Summer Scholars!

College Possible Omaha is honored to recognize the Summer Scholars program through the University of Nebraska at Omaha as our Community Partner of the Month!

The Summer Scholars program provides a six-week academic experience for diverse, incoming high school seniors. Students accepted to the Summer Scholars program enroll in a course at UNO over the summer. The opportunity allows students to earn college credits, prepare for college life, and connect with UNO faculty, staff and students.

“I believe that student involvement equals student success,” says Elizabeth Blanco, the Summer Scholars program coordinator. “The Summer Scholars program is unique because it allows students in high school to become involved with UNO before they start college. They can feel the support of the entire University through this opportunity.”

“The Summer Scholars program offers a phenomenal opportunity for students to earn college credits and connect with UNO,” says Katie Cunningham, program manager at College Possible Omaha. “We are grateful the students we serve have such an enriching opportunity right here in Omaha during their summer break.”

Thank you to the Summer Scholars program and Elizabeth Blanco for providing this opportunity for Nebraska students. We are excited for the students we serve to join you this summer!
