Applying for financial aid is an essential step in the journey to college. College Possible Minnesota is here to help.
Depending on your citizenship status, you should apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Minnesota Dream Act. The Minnesota Dream Act allows students who are Minnesota residents, but are otherwise ineligible for federal student aid, to qualify for in-state tuition rates and state and institution financial aid.
The FAFSA and Minnesota Dream Act applications are used by colleges and career schools. These applications use your family’s financial information to determine the amount of financial aid you are eligible to receive and how much of a financial contribution your family will be expected to make toward your education. This aid will typically include a combination of grants, scholarships, work-study, and loans.
This year, technical issues have been reported on the recently revamped FAFSA application. For more than 20 years, College Possible Minnesota has been helping students get into and complete college and we are here to help with submitting, correcting, or troubleshooting your FAFSA or Minnesota Dream Act application.
Our programs, including FAFSA and Minnesota Dream Act application support, are free for students and their families.
